No new sanctions will apply to Puerto Rico for poor air quality after the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) determined that the proposal filed by the government to comply with sulfur dioxide standards in the San Juan and Salinas-Guayama areas is complete, so the agency will now evaluate it for approval.
