Juan Vargas, director of the LUMA College for Technical Training; Earl C. “Duke” Austin, Jr., president and CEO of Quanta Services; Lornna Soto, mayor; Wayne Stensby, President and CEO of LUMA; and Nancy C. Southern, president and CEO of ATCO, participated in the inauguration ceremony of the training center in Canóvanas. (Suministrada)

The executives of ATCO Group and Quanta Services, the companies that own LUMA Energy, indicated that the assessment process conducted by the Public-Private Partnerships Authority (P3A), which resulted in selecting the consortium to operate and maintain the power grid, is “the most robust and transparent” process they have seen in their decades-long experience in the industry, so they stated the contract “is good for Puerto Rico” and does not need amendments.
