In 2020, the Committee approved a resolution without a hearing, just at the height of the pandemic.

Washington - Still under prevention measures due to the coronavirus pandemic, the United Nations (UN) Special Committee on Decolonization will meet next June 18, with the idea of approving, for the 39th time, a resolution that recognizes Puerto Rico’s right to self-determination and independence.
